Recently preserved by the 47401 Project, immaculate 47401 stands in the sunshine at Butterley on 23 July 1994, during the Midland Railway Centre's Diesel Gala. This close up view looking down from the bridge certainly shows off this slightly impractical colour scheme to advantage.
