50036 Victorious passes Wolvercote in fading evening light on 4 May 1989 with the 1F44 17:22 Paddington to Banbury service. This would soon be calling at Tackley and Heyford stations, making a change from the normal infrequent DMUs at those places. It would not however call at Kings Sutton, as returning evening commuters from London could travel to that station via the Chiltern Line. Coincidentally, I photographed 50035 at this location exactly one year later, on the same train.
