Superb late evening light at Coedkernew on 20 July 2000. 66240 heads west with what is presumably a Llanwern to Cardiff Docks slag train. Apart from a little bit of material visible in the third wagon, it almost looks like an empty train. A well timed picture, capturing one of the sporadic bursts of steam from the industrial buildings in the background.
