Penlee Stonehenge Works 6 September 2026

Leighton Buzzard Railway 0-4-0T Penlee pictured at Stonehenge Works on 6 September 2026. The loco was built by Freudenstein & Co, Berlin, in 1901. It was used on the most westerly railway in England, the Penlee Quarry to Newlyn Harbour line. After being replaced by diesels in the 1940s, it stood on a plinth next to the sea at Newlyn for some years, which can't have done it much good!
